LOL. When I first got my girls, I read about the shedding. So I got lots of fawn colored blankets and slipcovers. But the girls don't shed that bad. It's the black fosters who shed the most. Thank goodness the shedding has decreased over the months. I give them Missing Link Plus. I know it works for Quincy and Isabelle. I believe it works for the girls, too, but the changes in Quincy and Isabelle made me a complete believer. And Quincy is double coated!

What is Missing Link Plus??

It's a powder supplement that you add to their food. http://www.missinglinkproducts.com/productsproductoverview19-6/MissingLinkCaninePLUS

One of my local stores carries it, but I've also gotten it from Amazon. The pugs get a teaspoon a day, and at four pugs, a pound lasts me a couple of months. I get the Plus because it also has glucosamine, chondroitin, etc. which is great for the seniors' joints. It doesn't have enough for them so I also use GlycoFlex III. If Arliss and Tonka are starting to get a little stiff, especially in the winter, both of these things may help. Isabelle and Quincy both have arthritis and the glucosamine/chondroitin mix plus other stuff has really helped them out. Their significant weight loss has helped, too. Man, what a difference it made though. Isabelle can run again and they both can stand up on their back legs. When they first came into rescue, neither one could do that.

Email me at allyramsey at verizon dot net if you want to chat more about any of these things. I've learned so much about pugs and health since I got my girls 3 years ago. Now, I'm a complete nerd when it comes to homeopathy, natural remedies, etc. There's nothing I wouldn't do to keep my guys healthy.
